Johannesburg - National broadcasting personality Tim Modise has joined M-Net's actuality show Carte Blanche.
M-Net spokesperson Zoliswa Mrwebi said Modise would join Ruda Landman and Derek Watts as an anchor on Carte Blanche at 19:00 on Sunday, January 26.
"The show's format has been revamped. The entire presentation, its look and feel will be updated and improved and the programme will also be in a more informal and personal style and setting." Mrwebi said.
According to Modise his new role at Carte Blanche "represents personal and professional growth".
"I will be joining a highly dedicated team that maintains laudable standards in broadcasting across the continent."
Carl Fischer, director of M-Net's local productions, said, "We are confident that Tim's media experience and journalistic skills will add enormous value to the editorial team."
Modise also has an active radio career. He recently moved from SAfm to host 702 Talk Radio's 09:00 to midday talkback show.
Carte Blanche has accumulated more than 80 local and international awards for excellence in television journalism, including winning CNN African journalist of the year award in 2002.
