SA group wins Grammy

Los Angeles - South Africa's acclaimed Soweto Gospel Choir has been awarded the Best Traditional World Music Grammy for its second album, Blessed.
The award was presented at the 49th annual Grammy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday.
The 26-member choir was formed in 2002 and has toured Germany, the Caribbean and the United Stated in the past three years, where it was also judged Best Gospel Choir at the 2003 American Gospel Music Awards.
The Soweto Gospel Choir is under the direction of producer Beverly Bryer and musical director David Mulovhedzi.
It has now joined an impressive line-up of local talent that made South Africa proud on the world stage.
