Johannesburg - "I really don't care, because his opinion makes no difference to my life," says rock singer Karen Zoid when told her name had made the list of Pretoria designer Simon Rademan's worst-dressed personalities.
"I'm sponsored by big brands and wear their clothes and I'm comfortable in what I wear."
Zoid and nine other celebrities made the list because of the clothes they wore in the past year.
On the other side of the coin, South Africa's 10 best-dressed personalities also were announced and honoured with a crystal bowl each for their taste when it came to stilettos and tailored suits.
Some of those listed for not having the greatest taste, among them several radio and television personalities, refused to comment on their nominations and others did not answer their telephones.
Some of the best-dressed were ecstatic, however.
Elana Africa, presenter on kykNET, said she was still astounded by her nomination.
Knows what he's talking about
"I've always thought I dressed funky and I did not have the faintest notion that I could be included in such a list with people like Minister Geraldine Fraser-Moleketi."
She thinks Rademan knows what he is talking about when it comes to fashion although she has not yet worn one of his creations.
Egoli starlet Michelle Pienaar - another on the best-dressed list - said she bought her clothes according to her own taste.
"When I buy clothes, I choose something comfortable, but with plenty of femininity and sexual appeal."
Singer Nadine said she couldn't wait to collect her gift personally from Rademan and to thank him.
"One sings to become famous and to let people enjoy your music, but you never sing to be honoured in this fashion. It?s amazing!"
Visitors crashed his website
Other celebrities who, according to Rademan, could make good use of some fashion hints, are radio announcers Alex Jay and Jeremy Mansfield, Nicole Fox and Jenny Cwrys Williams, as well as the television personalities Mara Louw of Idols fame, Hlubi Mboya of Isidingo, the model Minki van der Westhuizen and singer Laurika Rauch.
Rademan said on Thursday that his website had crashed because of the great number of people who visited it to see who had made the lists.
Within four hours, more than 700 people connected with the website, www.simonrademan.co.za.
