Johannesburg - Steve Hofmeyr will apparently pay his wife Natasha Sutherland R4.5m when they divorce. She will also receive a house and maintenance for their two sons.
According to a source, this agreement was reached after it was revealed that Hofmeyr had an affair with a Pretoria fitness instructor, Janine van der Vyver. The couple announced their divorce this week.
Meanwhile, news surfaced about Hofmeyr having an affair with another woman.
Apparently Hofmeyr's lawyer and longtime friend, Peet Viljoen, withdrew from the singer's cases this week. Viljoen was to have represented Hofmeyr in the divorce. He on Monday still appeared in court to represent the singer in the civil matter between Hofmeyr and Van der Vyver.
Rapport learned of a serious argument between the lawyer and the singer. Hofmeyr apparently owed Viljoen R250 000 in legal fees. A representative for Hofmeyr denied that Viljoen had resigned and said it would be closer to the truth to say that he had been fired. She said Hofmeyr had enough written proof to disprove Viljoen's claims.
