Cape Town - The season finalé of Survivor South Africa is just days away and everybody wants to know who our first Survivor will be - even Egoli's Louwna (Brumilda van Rensburg).
In Friday's episode of the M-Net soap, Louwna meets Survivor host Mark Bayly and tries to persuade him to reveal SA television's best-kept secret.
The insert with Mark and Louwna was recorded on Wednesday.
Mark says it was wonderful to meet the cast and crew: "It was fun working with Brumilda and great to see how 'final fever' is catching on.
"It was a lot easier working inside a studio than outdoors. That was one of the most difficult aspects of Survivor - to be outside, to travel by boat and end up looking as if you have been dragged through the mud!"
M-Net publicity officer Lani Lombard told Die Burger about 926 000 viewers watched the weekly episodes during Open Time. If one added the viewers watching repeat broadcasts on DStv, the average number of viewers would be over a million.
The winner of Survivor, who will take home R1m, is one of the best kept secrets in South African television. Only a handful of people at M-Net and Endemol Productions are in on the secret.
Who will be South Africa's very first 'Ultimate Survivor' - Jacinda, Zayn, Mzi or Vanessa?
All will be revealed in the not-be-missed two hour long live season finalé on Sunday, starting at 17:00.
At the final tribal council the Top 2 contenders get an opportunity to canvass votes with a short speech. Thereafter the five jury members grill the two with difficult questions and then it's time to vote.
This time round, though, Mark doesn't tally the votes. Instead, he seals them in the urn, which had to come back all the way to South Africa.
During the second half of the show Mark arrives at M-Net's Studio 6 (the old Big Brother house) where the winner will be announced live on air.
All 14 contestants will be there and viewers will hear interesting stories about their experiences on the islands.
