Zoid to take the plunge

Johannesburg - Karen Zoid, South Africa's favourite rock chick, says she is tying the knot.
The lucky man is Don Reinecke, guitar player and co-founder of Zoid's band.
She told the audience during a show at the Oppikoppi festival outside Northam near Thabazimbi that she wanted her fans to know.
"I love him and we are going to get married. This man here on my right." Reinecke is usually introduced to crowds as "The Prince of Prince Albert."
Reinecke and Zoid got engaged in Scotland following the Ukkasie festival. On her second album, Chasing the Sun, the song Deurmekaar is dedicated to Reinecke.
Zoid's Oppikoppi show was one of her most aggressive to date.
Critics such as Dan Roodt of Praag - who regularly criticise her language usage and Johan Erasmus, a critic who recently falsely accused her of plagiarism, came under this rock chick's heading of "unnecessary criticism".
"It's not worth it", she said. "Don't make more of them than what they are."
The rock diva has been doing shows for the past three years.
Zoid and her group will be leaving for Belgium shortly. "I've already translated a couple of stories into Flemish, but a song like Afrikaners is plesierig will not be translated.
