Cape Town – A Giant panda in China has been reunited with her triplets after they were taken away in order to be treated.

BuzzFeed News reports that when she saw her babies she immediately grabbed one and started to hug the cub.

Eventually she got to all three and literally gave them a bear hug.

Juxiao, who resides at the China’s Chimelong Safari Park in China, holds the record for giving birth to the worlds only surviving giant panda triplets.

The triplets were born in July and were taken from Juxiao because she could not take care of all three at the same time.

Giant pandas can only take care of one cub at a time.

When the family was finally reunited the entire staff at the park held their breath, according to Zoo manager Dong Guixin.

One of the cubs was a bit scared and stayed at the gate. Juxiao then waited for a bit, but eventually went over to the nervous cub and hugged it like a mom would do, Guixin said.

Earlier this year News24, reported that each cub weighed more than 5kg. They started teething at around 80 days old and have two small teeth each.

The cubs have been on display at the park since November.

Below is the video of Juxiao reuniting with her cubs.
