Atlanta - Atlanta zoo officials say one of the zoo's giant pandas is pregnant with her fourth cub.

Zoo Atlanta officials said in a news release on Tuesday that 15-year-old Lun Lun will likely deliver a cub in two to three weeks. An ultrasound done on Sunday shows the fetus is currently 1.08cm long. Veterinarians based their birth window estimate on a similar ultrasound from Lun Lun's last pregnancy in 2010.

The cub would be the first panda born in the US this year.

Lun Lun was artificially inseminated in March. She and her 15-year-old mate Yang Yang have three previous offspring: 6-year-old male Mei Lan, who now lives at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in China; 4-year-old male Xi Lan; and 2-year-old male Po.
