Buffalo Souljah

Buffalo Souljah is a Zimbabwean born Reggae Dancehall artist who first came onto the music scene in 1996 with the group IRC.

Since the late 90s Buffalo Souljah has lived in South Africa, initially continuing his music career as part of the pan-African group Street Disciples, before going solo and earning radio play and fans with songs like “Bubble Your Bumz”, and “Too Hot to Shii”. In 2008, he scooped two awards at the Channel O Music Video Awards for Best Ragga Dancehall Video and Best Newcomer for the hit single “Bubble Your Bumz”.

This five-time Channel O Music Video Award Winner is an African Reggae sensation. The release of his debut album, which featured the chart buster ‘Zandla phezulu’, saw him enjoy spins on several radio stations across the Southern African region.

Since then Buff has collaborated with Kwela Tebza, Thembi Seete, Bongo Riot, Junior, Zimbabwe’s Queen Vanessa, AKA, Pro Kid, Cabo Snoop and K Switch (D’banj’s younger brother), 2011 Celebrity Big Brother Africa housemate Hanni from Ethiopia and BBA star game’s Eva from Botswana. His latest single ‘Basawine’ received over 1 million YouTube hits in just over a month.
