R2BEES is the abbreviated name of the Dancehall/Hip Hop duo Paedae and Mugeez from Ghana. The name R2BEES stems from the group’s mantra “Refuse To be Broke” which motivates the best friends and cousins to persist in their pursuit of success despite great adversity.

The group released its debut single “Yawa Gal” in 2009 rapidly followed by the single “A Dey Mad”. Both singles were massive hits in their native Ghana, but it was their third single “Kissing Your Hand” feat Wande Coal which propelled the group to continental stardom.

Their debut album DA Revolution I took Africa by surprise and then R2BEES released their second album, titled Refuse to Be Broke (Revolution II), which they featured Tinchy Stryder from the UK and Nigeria’s Davido and Wiz Kid. Four of the tracks released as singles have already topped charts and won numerous awards (“Ajeii”, “Dance” feat Wiz Kid, “Odo” and “Life”)
