I’m a 36-year-old woman and I have a 15-year-old son. His father passed away 10 years ago. I recently met a lovely 29-year-old guy and we get on very well. The problem is I’m not comfortable with his age. I feel that he’s too young and I don’t want people to call me names.

If you are uncomfortable about his age, then it may be wise not to start the relationship with him. You cannot stop people calling you names but you have control over how you feel about the name calling. If you are not sure of what you are getting yourself into and not comfortable about it, it will be difficult for you to withstand the criticism as society still frowns upon older women who date younger men.
