There are several things to consider before choosing a weave. These include fibre type, style, length, lifestyle and the shape of your face.

SYNTHETIC HAIR

¦ Good quality synthetic hair looks

and feels like human hair.

¦ Styling is restricted and hot styling

tools cannot be used.

¦ It requires little maintenance but

can be more challenging to style

than human hair.

¦ It is more affordable than human

hair.

¦ It does not break as easily as

human hair.

HUMAN HAIR

¦ Human hair is more flexible than synthetic hair.

¦ It's expensive and needs much more maintenance than synthetic hair.

¦ It's durable and can last over a year with proper care.

ABCs OF WEAVES

¦ The shorter the weave, the better. It can be hard to style and maintain a

long weave.

¦ If you plan on leaving some of your hair out and blending it with the weave, make sure your hair texture is the same as the hairpiece.

¦ Choose a hair colour that is the same colour as your hair.

DIFFERENT TYPES OF WEAVES

PERUVIAN HAIR

This hair is lightweight, free flowing, luxurious and easy to manage.

INDIAN HAIR

Indian hair is high in quality.

BRAZILIAN HAIR

Brazilian hair is thicker than Indian hair. It is also versatile and it may

come straight, curly or wavy.

MALAYSIAN HAIR

This hair is very soft. It works best on ladies with fine and silky hair.

Even though these hair pieces or weaves are costly, some salons and retail stores allow you to buy on credit.
