No longer interested in guys

I’ve been going out with guys all my life – I am 26 now. About a year ago, I changed. I fell in love with a woman and now I am a lesbian. We don’t have a relationship; we just had a quick fling. Although I’m comfortable with being a lesbian, I am also quite scared because people don’t know that I’m no longer interested in guys. Do you think people in my community will accept me if I tell them?

It sounds as if you are still undecided about whether to become a lesbian. You are telling yourself that you are comfortable with this decision, but it appears that your mind is not yet ready for it. Could it be mainly because of your bad experience with guys? Once you have decided that you are into women and confident about it, there should be no fear about how the community will react. These days, things are done freely as long as it makes you happy and you are confident about your decision. I suggest you talk to yourself (ask yourself why you want to do this) or consult a relationship counsellor or talk to someone older, a relative or close friend. I hope it works out for you.
