With the Vodacom NXT LVL music show  to begin its shooting process next week with BIG NUZ, Riky Rick, DJ Euphonik, Danny K and DJ Zinhle as mentors to thousands of hopefuls who auditioned for the competition, the real test begins now.

Some of the hopefuls of Vodacom NXT LVL competition managed to get lucky an got exclusive invitation to the Durban July ceremony last weekend.  They were treated to some festivities as they had to spend time with Big Nuz, prince of hip hop Priddy Ugly, actor and rapper Raphael Griffiths from Muvhango, comedian and pop culture commentator cum TV star and radio presenter Nina Hastie, TV personality Danine Naidoo, DJ Switch, as well as reality show star and hip-hop artist K2. The event was held at the top eatery Circus Circus Restaurant in Gateway Mall.   On Saturday, the hopefuls and celebrities alongside Move! Mag were ferried VVIP style to Greyville Racecourse for the Durban July.

The hosting of other hopefuls was aimed at giving them an opportunity to connect well with the entertainment and lifestyle scene as a matter of showing them what would be the opportunity for them to get in showbiz.

Vodacom’s head of Marketing and Brand Communication, Veli Mabena said, “Last weekend we saw some of SA’s most influential musicians get together to discuss the state of SA music and its contribution to our culture as Africans.

As part of uplifting our youth and empowering them with the tools to become the NXT LVL version of themselves, I felt it important to have a sit down with Mzansi’s musical talents to talk about their hopes and dreams for the music industry. We need to get together as an industry to find solutions that better our offering to the global markets. This is why BIG NUZ, one of SA’s most influential boy bands that brought back  Kwaito in a big way are so important – they have a wealth of NXT LVL knowledge to share with up and coming talent. I am proud to be part of the NXT LVL empowerment programme.”

The NXT LVL will soon be on Mzansi Magic TV channel this summer. NXT LVL hopefuls who audition in hope of joining the TV show phase, stand a chance to walk away with R1 Million worth of prizes, an intense 10- week mentorship programme with the show’s judges to kick start a budding music career and also win the 2017 title of the ultimate NXT LVL talent Vodacom has to offer.
