ORS South Africa (formerly known as Organic Root Stimulator) will be launching a new product range for ethnic hair at the 4th African International Hair Extravaganza (AIHE) at Vodaworld in Johannesburg on 12 September 2015.

The launch of this product range, that contains an ingredient never before used in any ORS product, will be led by South Africa who is the first country to launch this product range for the company globally.

“Olive Oil has been the signature ingredient of ORS products for a long time,” says Salil Dhingra, Business Head at ORS Southern Africa.  “ORS pioneered Olive Oil in the mass ethnic hair care segment and it has been a while since a new signature ingredient has been added to the ORS range.  We, at ORS South Africa, are very excited to launch this new product.”

At this year’s AIHE ORS will not only be launching this exciting new product range but will also be making a contribution to the ethnic hair care segment through American guest speaker Jennifer Jackson at the 3rd Annual Ethnic Hair Conference.  All the way from Chicago in the US Jackson, who is the senior manager education and professional brands at Namaste Laboratories, will be bringing the audience the latest on best practice for ethnic hair processing and relaxing.

The exhibition, which is free to the public if you have pre-registered, will see many ethnic hair care brands display their products.  ORS will be offering its signature hair analysis and consultation to visitors to its stand.  Betito Ebengo, who is the head stylist and educator for ORS in South Africa, will furthermore demonstrate the use of the ORS Olive Oil product range in a live cut-and-style show.

Ending the day in appropriate fashion will be the African Hair Awards where ORS has been nominated in two categories:  People’s Choice Best Relaxer and People’s Choice Kiddies Product Range.  As part of the African Hair Awards ORS will be presenting a hair collection showcase featuring hair styles by Ebengo with outfits by South African fashion designer Thembeka Vilakazi of Yadah Exclusive Designs, who has recently returned from a very successful Africa Fashion Week London (AFWL).
