Move! beauty editor Alexis Tshangana spoke to Pearl Modiadie, the ambassador for the Shoprite Big Brand Extravaganza about her beauty routine and her handbag must-haves.

Q- What is your daily skin routine?

A- I cleanse, tone and moisturise twice a day. I do this in the morning when I get ready for my day and in the evening after removing my make-up.

Q- Do you stick to this routine all the time?

A- Yes, I do. It’s always been my priority to take good care of my skin.

Q- Does your skin routine change in winter?

A- Yes, I use a moisturiser with extra moisture in winter as my skin tends to get dry.

Q- Do you experience any skin problems?

A- I have a pimple once in a while, and luckily I have no other skin issues.

Q- What's the beauty product you can’t live without?

A- I can’t live without a cleanser because I love the feeling of clean skin. Lip moisturiser is also one of my must-haves!

Q- Do you ever advise your peers about taking care of their skin? What is their response?

A- I do give advice when my peers ask for it, but I never offer advice on anyone’s visible “issue or problem” until I know for sure that they need it.

Q- What products can you recommend to women who suffer from dry or irritated skin due to the winter season?

A- They should definitely invest in a good moisturiser. Your skin needs more care during winter.

Q- What beauty products do you have in your bag right now?

A- Hand sanitiser, hand cream, lip balm, lipstick, lipgloss, eyeliner, cuticle oil, powder and wet wipes.

Q- What are the products you can't you live without in winter?

A- I have been using my cuticle oil and lip balm a lot more. My lips and nail cuticles get dry in winter. I do, however, need all the products I have in my bag. Even when I’m not using them, I feel at ease knowing that they are there.

Q- Which products are you most likely to splurge on?

A- It's definately my skincare products.

Q- Which product should women have in their bags?

A- Hand sanitiser without a doubt! It comes in handy.
