Pearl Thusi to star in international film

A joint production between US production company, D Street Pictures, and Kaapland Films from Cape Town, The Blue Mauritius is a heist film about a robbery ordered by a mystery person from Mauritius, who hires five international thieves to pull off a robbery

The group of criminals meet in Cape Town to steal the most valuable stamp in the world.

Pearl is cast in the role of Makeda, a gun-toting, motorcycle-riding femme fatale working for a German art dealer who is also after the stamps, which collectively hold the secret to a treasure on Mauritius.

And Nicola will play the part of a talented antiquities curator called Claudia, who works at the prominent museum where the coveted 'Blue Mauritius' stamp is held.

The film will also star South African actor Deon Lotz, who is known for his roles in Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom and Beauty (Skoonheid), as a character called Muller.

Nicola and Deon both also star in a new film, Free State, which will hit SA theatres on 29 April 2016.
