We all know that if one wants to build a rigid and strong structure then one has to have a solid underlying foundation to start developing from.  This statement could not be truer when it comes to Sizwe “Reason” Moeketsi.

He is the original definition of a Hip Hop head- he’s been actively involved in the underground Hip Hop scene for many years, from underground street battles to holding it down while performing with massively respected emcees such as Rass Kass, Talib Kweli, K’NAAN and Masta Ace.  Before he shot to prominence, Reason was already making jingles for DJ Fresh’s “Unrestricted Breakfast show” on YFM in 2005.

Reasons’ first album was an underground success; this earned him plaudits and performances across South Africa and overseas in several Scandinavian countries. After Joining Motif Records in 2011, he went on to release his commercial breakthrough album Audio3Din 2012, with the lead single on the album “Do it Like I Can” going  on to rank as #1 on both the Metro FM and YFM top single charts.  He was also nominated at the 2013 SAMA Awards in the Best Rap Album and Best Male categories.
