It feels like an out of body experience to think about the first installment of Stoan’s epic mountain bike ride IKGATE MOTLHALA, especially considering that it is almost a year since the team set off from the lofty heights of Northcliff Hill towards the flat planes of Bokone Bophirima.

IKGATE MOTLHALA has trekked across three major regions of the North West Province covering hundreds of kilometers through Bojanala, Ngaka Modiri Molema and ending up in Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati District Municipality. Now it is time to leave the indelible footprint in Dr Kenneth Kaunda District Municipality.

In keeping with previous installments, this year’s mountain bike challenge is dedicated to honoring the memory of Dr Kenneth Kaunda, whom the District is named after and who’s 91st birthday on the 28th of April comes a day after Freedom Day. The ride aims to touch the lives of high school students and communities at large in the district when it starts on the 24th going from Vryburg to Potchefstroom, Klerkdorp and ending up in Wolmaranstad on the 29th April. Just like last year, the team can count on North West Tourism Department and The North West Parks Board to put their best foot forward and support this pioneering initiative.

The cycle campaign includes a ten cyclists team led by Founder Stoan Seate and Team Leader Warren Masemola (actor: Ayeye), Dineo Ranaka (Dineo Ranaka) Kagiso Modupe (Actor: Scandal), Mamo Maloka (Metro FM Producer & Celebrity Fitness Instructor), Thandy Matlaila (Gold Diggers).

4020Phenomenon Founder Stoan Seate said, “Despite various challenges we face as a country, we are very excited to be making a difference to schools and early development centers. Being a transformative force means that we are catalyst to social change. For me personally I’m planting seeds for generations to come be it big or small,” adds Seate.

The North West Department of Tourism and the North West Parks Board are proud to be a major part of this project and continue to give guidance regarding project objectives and deliverables

“4020 Phenomenon encourages business leaders, entrepreneurs, community and corporates to join in sponsoring the cycle campaign to improve learning in underprivileged schools and early development centers
