The Supreme Court of Appeal has dismissed President Jacob Zuma's appeal against the release of the so-called spy tapes, according to reports.

This means that the tapes must be handed over without editing or omission.

According to Sapa, this followed an agreement between legal teams representing the DA, NPA and Zuma to release the tapes to the DA and to appoint retired Judge Noel Hurt to review and release the records of the NPA’s decision to drop over 700 counts of corruption against Zuma.

The Supreme Court of Appeal confirmed on Thursday that this agreement will now be made an order of the court.
