Since the death of former president Nelson Mandela in South Africa, there has been no shortage of powerful images. Here are 15 of the most striking images taken during the past week.

Mandela died at his home in Houghton, Johannesburg, at the age of 95 on 5 December. An official memorial service was held at FNB stadium, in Soweto. He will be buried at Qunu, in the Eastern Cape on Sunday.
