Truth by it's very definition is independent of opinion, however the individual holds the key to accept or reject this information. Before we continue with the subject of 1844, I should make this very clear; A day when speaking in prophetic language represent a year, only when we deal with prophecy in the Bible this day-year principle is applied. The historical accounts in the Bible such as the creation accounts, the Gospels and the other books do not apply in this principle, only when we speak in prophetic language. If you don't know what am talking about read the article called "1844: When Christ Entered the Most Holy" which this article is a continuation.
For there are men who are interpreting the scriptures to their own destruction, who are not "rightly dividing the word of truth." For we need the Holy Spirit to help us understand the Word. This information like the previous one, may the Christian and he who read examine this subjects in the Bible, to check whether these things are so. For the end is near.
It is written; " And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be."- Revelation 22:12. Question, when Christ will comes to give each man his reward, do you think he would have determined the type of reward before he comes? Furthermore we are told: " And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters."- Revelation 14:6,7. Did you see that??? Notice the angel was to preach to every nation that "the hour of his Judgment is come" not "will come", take note, the hour or time of this Judgment "is come" during the time of this preaching of the everlasting Gospel. Meaning that before Christ comes, there must be a work of Judgment. For this we know because the messages of the angels followed were warning men not to receive the mark of the beast which we know that will happen before Christ comes. So there is a Judgment which takes place before Christ comes, and when the message of the angel about the everlasting Gospel is preached.
The question now comes, where is this Judgment taking place and who are judged? What does the Judgment involve?
Our answer to the where abouts of this Judgment is revealed in the Book of Daniel: "I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.
A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened."- Daniel 7:9,10 Did you take notice of the verses? The Ancient of Days referred to here is God the Father not Christ, for Christ arrived later, "I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him."- verse 13. And where did Christ go? To the Ancient of Days (the Father) And where is the Father? You right, in heaven. So these verses are showing acts in heaven where the angels of God are giving praises to God. Now verse 10 said that "Judgment was set and the books were opened" So the Judgment is set, meaning it began and according what we gathered so far, that the verses were showing what was happening in heaven, this gives the evidence that the Judgment is to take place in heaven. And we learned earlier on that this Judgment happens before Christ comes when the preaching of the Gospel goes to the nations, to all the people.
1. Who is to be judged?
" For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?"- 1 Peter 4:17. Boom! There it is. So this Judgment has to first to begin at the House of God? Which we see as Petter explains that it begin with us, meaning the house of God. This is further proven by Paul to show that the house of God is the church of God; "But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth."- 1 Timothy 3:15. Thus the "house of God" in 1 Petter 4:17 is symbolic for the church. And it is of great importance to know that the judgment begin with the church then at the end it will be that of those who obey not the Gospel. Showing that there are two separated Judgments mentioned in the verse; that of the church then the end will be of the ungodly. And this Judgment of the church which is spoken of happens before Christ comes. The Judgment which happens in heaven before the second coming.
Paul in Hebrews said regarding Christ, “For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us."- Hebrews 9:24. Remember we dealt with this verse in the last article? And it took us to 1844 when Christ entered in the Most Holy Place in the Sanctuary in heaven. Where Christ is in his last phase before he comes again. There Christ is appearing before the Father on our behalf. In this very time, that is- 1844 when the heavenly sanctuary was cleansed, The Judgment was set, thus the fulfillment of the vision of Daniel 7:10 came to pass. For since 1844 the Judgment of the church of God began in heaven. Where according to Daniel 7:10 the books were opened. Now a question arises, who were first to be Judged of the church of God starting from 1844? This the Bible give us the answer: "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works."- Revelation 20:12. Noticed the very expression of Daniel 7:10? Is the "books were opened." it is What is also expressed here. The verse say that the dead stood before God? What does this mean since we know that the dead are conscienceless, that they know nothing? (see an article I typed earlier called "What Happens when we die?" on www.news24.com/user/TlholoDEE) Well the verse continue to say they were Judged out of the Books which were opened. You see, the dead are not there when the Judgment began physically but through their records which are preserved in heaven, thus through the records the dead stand before God.
Knowing now that the Judgment of the church of God began in 1844 onwards in heaven where Christ is before the Father for us, by seeing the previous verse, this Judgment which commenced in 1844 in heaven began with those who have died, those who died as professed followers of God. That is from those who first lived who were professed followers of God till the Judgment will pass to the living professed followers of God, that we know not when it will be. So it is wise that we are always prepared, repenting of sins and letting Christ change our characters to his sinless Character that we may be found in peace with him. Since we know this now, what was in the books? Well stay tuned for the coming article. This might have shocked you but I encourage you fellow Christian to go to the scriptures and diligently search for this things for yourself, for time is no longer, we know not when will the Judgment pass to the living professed Christians and which generation is being currently judged of those who professed to be the followers of God in the past.
"For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator."- 1 Peter 4:17-19.
