Have you had enough of the constant litany of incompetence, failures, blunders, corruption, mismanagement, ineptitude and crass disregard for the voting public one peruses in all forms of news reports pertaining to South Africa and its cANCer “liberation: government? Are YOU as a voter as TIRED as I am of constantly being made aware of the FAILURE of this Zoomer government to actually, for a brief period in its tenure as our “leaders”, accomplish some of the election promises so glibly dished out when votes are being sought? If the twenty one items listed herein fail to convince YOU, the voter, that our beloved country is a “failed state” then I have zero sympathy for you, because then you are mindlessly indoctrinated, beyond help and deserve every bit of misery this failing and failed government disdainfully hurls at you!
Twenty-One? Why this number, why not thirty or forty or fifty….well, I could source that many in a matter of an hour or so…but to what avail? Blunder upon blunder upon blunder ad infinitum….? If these twenty-one are not sufficient …what is? READ this:

5. South Africa’s economic woes intensify as government fails to overcome its internal, ideological confusion about how to harness the economy, leaving our country vulnerable to labour unrest and ratings downgrades…
6. We observe destitute people scratching a living from mining and other waste dumps (often illegally) to afford them a miniscule opportunity to sustain their families whilst their elected politicians abound in ultra luxury...
7. Parliament blocks question to President Zuma on Nkandlagate…
8. Several private members' bills and debate requests will be submitted to Parliament on the reported R250m upgrade of President Jacob Zuma's private Nkandla homestead…
9. Minister Xingwana’s department, supposedly there for the protection of vulnerable women, children and people with disabilities, attempted to justify spending R4.5 million on catering, R2.6 million on entertainments and R18.8 million on travel and subsistence, almost 20% of the department’s total budget. They host lavish parties and fly to expensive conferences and seminars all around the world, while they have yet to prove that their activities have any practical outcome in dealing with the plight of the vulnerable people they are mandated to serve. People are not served by events, rather by actual concrete actions to improve their circumstances and solutions to their real-world problems…

11. The Department of Home Affairs received a qualified audit & the AG has revealed major department mismanagement…

16. Instead of engaging with these pressing public matters, Parliament is increasingly divorcing itself from the concerns of South Africa’s citizens for the sake of avoiding politically contentious issues.
17. Angis Motshekga’s department of Basic Education (DBE) is accountable for losing a R7.2 billion grant to address schools infrastructure backlogs; funding intended for replacing mud schools, 400 of which, housed in mud huts, still exist in the Eastern Cape alone. Learners attend “school” in structures that are damp, cold and do not have basic necessities such as water, electricity and hygienic toilets, while the department failed to utilize the allocated funds to build decent schools…
18. Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga, who stated to the South African Democratic Teachers Union “we’re prepared to boil the ocean for better education” needs to explain to the Portfolio Committee how R7.2 billion earmarked for improving school infrastructure remains unspent and how she realistically proposes that the promised 49 schools for this year, the promised 100 schools in 2012/13 and the promised 346 schools in 2013/14 will be delivered. Instead of spouting ridiculous statement about boiling the ocean, this goon would be better advised to ensure her Department builds schools – it’s much easier and would actually benefit learners…

The Minister of Police Nathi Mthethwa briefed the Portfolio Committee on Police on the Private Security Industry Regulation Amendment Bill, which will lead to massive job losses, decrease investment in South Africa and pose a security risk to all South Africans as there will be fewer trained law enforcement and security personnel available. It will leave all citizens, especially the poor, who rely on the SAPS as their sole source of protection, more vulnerable to crime as SAPS will have to spread their already weak resources more thinly, since foreigners granted the right to live and work here in SA may no longer be involved in this industry. This is clearly illegal…
21. COSATU and Communist Party have had to rely on police intervention, using stun grenades, rubber bullets and even live ammunition to force their way into a stadium against the opposition of striking workers. It is obvious that union leaders’ assumptions of a permanent right to leadership are now being challenged by their followers but it is equally clear that the ruling party and its allies intend to force obedience rather than to seek to renegotiate support or enable democratic engagement. The police no longer pretend to be loyal to the law, rather to the ruling party, because that is the way that Blade Nzimande dictates it…
These are news reports and opinions, sourced from various media formats, which paint a picture of a society at odds with its government. A multitude of suchlike “negative” or “objectionable” or “bleak” or “depressing” reports can be found day after day in the media… yet for some obscure reason the voters who throw their weight behind the bullying politicians to whom such reports pertain are unable to make a conscious effort of will to oust them! Why? Vote with your intellect people…make your vote COUNT for something….if not for yourself then DAMMIT…think of your heirs…….give them something to aspire to…
