Let freedom reign
27 years of restriction, yet freedom reigned
27 years of humiliation, yet humility ruled
27 years without family, yet loyal to the cause
incarcerated but not incapacitated
in prison but not in bondage
isolated but insular
Tribute to Mandela, a poem
Never have I touched his hand, but his touch was warm and reassuring
Even when the dark clouds approached, he ushered in the light and drove away darkness.
Like a true shield, he protected the nation from the jaws of extinction and gave the nation hope
Seeking peace and reconciliation among the sons and daughters of Africa.
Opening doors which were closed and paving a way for a new nation.
New nation with a new image and a brand new brave character, ready to face the world.
RIP Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela
It is a tragedy,
a global tragedy,
the world is mourning,
over his departure,
he was never an omnipotent,
nor an immortal,
but a human being,
a leader of many
A tribute to Mr Nelson Mandela (Madiba)
A time will come when all souls will depart
To the World unknown.
Madiba precious entity
A man of integrity
He fought for his Nation
Our champion has gone!
I felt it brewing in my stomach, the rumbling shook me
It was a storm,
A fight to the death
It was time take a stand of honor and love
As I closed my eyes and in my heart I could conquer
By self-sacrifice my soul was bruised
