Unable to move, I sit and stare into space…my mind in wrestling match with my emotions…”get up! - DO something!” yet before I know it, an hour has passed and I haven’t moved.
Sound familiar?
My goodness, how one can be plunged from dizzy heights of euphoria straight into the pit of darkness at the speed of light!
With no trigger to set it off – OR:
…do we falsely wear this mantle of immunity against all the horrors, injustice and fear in the world, and when we least expect it, it falls, leaves us vulnerable and we simply crumble under the pressure?
What is this? Depression? Disillusion?
Am I alone in this? Or do you know this demon that I speak of?
So many of us are able to just get by while others breeze through life without a care in the world. Or do they?
Do they not have the same insecurities that we do? Are they better? Does having it all really bring you happiness??
What would you really do if it all turned around for you right now?? You’d have the house, the cars, the money, the security and the perfect partner…how happy would it make you? How long would it last??
Lord knows, we all have wanted a bite of the apple, despite knowing the consequences…
Life IS a BITCH!
There is no doubt about that! But HOW you deal with it differs for everyone…
All the talk shows, self-help books, guru-guides and spiritual paths and prayers prove meaningless if your mind is not at peace.
If you don’t have the “capacity” to deal with the simple, every day matters, all that bullshit means nothing.
Personally, I feel there is no greater gift than a mind at peace. For with it, you can deal with anything. And there are no struggles too great to overcome….
With my mind finally emancipated from the darkness I could breathe again.
Now, my only prayer and wish is to KEEP this PEACE of mind/mine.
