Most people think that safety belts in a car are only worn when Traffic Officer appears in front of them. Safety belt is not a "Traffic Cop belt" but a belt used for safety and securing car users. It is often difficult to fasten safety belts in short distances and sometimes safety belts are uncomfortable, in reality, they do save lives and must be fastened at all times.
With the speed limit of 120km/h in South African roads, at the end of holidays many people are arrested for exceeding the speed limit (i mean exceeding 180km/h). Road users must be safe at all times and treat other road users with respect.
Drinking of alcohol and driving must be avoided at all times, rather be "stupid" while doing the right thing, than "clever" while risking with your life and other road users. Think about your family and other people's families.
Last time i checked, Traffic Officers must only issue fines to drivers who do not obey rules on the road. Most road users keep loose money in their wallets to pay fines on the streets, Officers must enforce law and stop acting like "cashiers' on the streets.
Remember, anything can happen even to the best drivers even when obeying the rules of the road, but, doing the correct thing must become a habit. Buckle-up and let us prove the statistics wrong as they are ready to compile number of accidents during holidays.
