OK, so here's a challenge to ALL Companies and organisations who have committed to 'Saving our Rhinos' - There are over 200(and increasing daily) Organisations that promote their involvement in saving the plight of our Rhinos, either by contribution of procedes of product sales, raising funds via charity Golf Days, CDs, Auctions, donations, etc. etc.
So, do we, the generous and concerned public, who support these initiatives both with our time and money, ever get to actually see HOW MUCH and WHERE our donations are spent?
Whilst the majority are genuine bonifide organisations there are an ever increasing amount of Companies piggy backing on the demise of the Rhino, only to make massive company/personal financial gains. Very brave statement, but 5 yrs ago we had stabilised the Rhino numbers, yet we had half the amount of organisations "protecting" our Rhinos.
Today the amount of decimated Rhinos have tripled and so have the "non-profit" orginisations and "procedes"? My Challenge to ALL these companies and organisations is to PUBLICLY declare how much they have generated from their activities and HOW MUCH and WHERE they have donated their proceeds. Including the percentage "administration" fees??
