A forecast into "modern babylon"

17 September 2012, 10:05

The people of Ancient Babylon had the notion that they possess within themselves the “wilful rights” to choose a lifestyle that suited them, promiscuous and immoral acts was the order of the day; hence it was an abomination in the eyes of the Almighty God. It was a rebellious act against the SUPREME BEING that resulted in catastrophic consequences that change the entire history as we know it today, God wrath poured upon the inhabitants of the sinful land. The ancient citizens of Sodom and Gomorrah had changed all moral and righteous codes of living to suite their evil and immoral desires. It was the reason that they abandoned every sacred law to satisfy their lustrous and adulteress lifestyles, they were intent on disputing all logical and prophesized word of God, and disputed even the existence of Godthe Creator.

The people of Babylon were partly comprised of descendents driven from captivity in Ancient Egypt and now were under the Babylonian rule. They transverse and adopted the immoral and idol worshipping of their captives. They forgot the God of their forefathers, they chose to close their ears against the revelations brought forth by the Word of God, they vanquished and tortured any living being that testified and preached the inspired truth about God. They destroyed all fibers that connected them to the One and only true God that they have inherited.

The Ancient Israelites had lost all connection with their God, “faith”in the deliverance Hand of the Omnipotent was perceived as an act of insult to the “gods” they now have grown accustomed too, in worshipping.

God led the “liberated” Israelites through the “Spiritual desert” in order for them to find “hope and faith” they seemed to have lost, in the true and living God.

The direct route from Egypt to Canaan is about 400km; a highway ran up the coast through the country of the Philistines, almost a month’s journey. But they “chose”/or led by the longest route in order to gain victory by faith. God promised to fight their battles for them and to drive out any resistance or inhabitants they may encounter with hailstones. God’s intent was for the Israelites to abide by His commands, and quickly gain glories and abundance of the land they were soon to occupy, but their arrogance and defiant attitudes was the result of the 40yrs in the Spiritual desert. It is the reason they
were now under the rule of the Babylonians, because of hard hearted attitudes, that they were always discontent and rebellious to the law.The first lesson in faith was learned at the Red Sea (exodus14:10-15), the deliverance from the Egyptian army and the passage through the Red sea was only possible by faith. The Israelites wagered everything and all on God’s word and were not disappointed. The prophets and spiritual leaders were chosen and inspired by God to deliver His people from innate spiritual captivity in order to gain victory over their battles and drive out the inhabitants of the Promised Land.

It seems history is repeating itself in the 20th century were everyone is looking for signs and miracles, that in order to succumb to the power of God. With all the information available to us we still arrogantly find people who dispute the Word of God and continue to mislead others in their treacherous paths of self righteousness and gullible attitudes to deny the existence of one and true God, hence we
are entangled in the web of “modern spiritual Babylon”.
