Never underestimate the power of the written, and spoken, word as it truly is more powerful than any other weapon if used skilfully and intelligently. Use it incorrectly though and you can do yourself a huge disservice.
The ANC are now discovering that although they may vilify- through their endless mouthpieces and spin doctors - anyone who does notagree with them, or worse still label them racists when knowing full well thatthis is done purely to incite hatred, they cannot anymore convince anybody.
They talk of “giving” sanitation, and RDP houses, andtoilets and grants to millions when all they have really done is grant thesepeople a temporary reprieve from more chaos, and costs, further down the line. There is no free lunch and as the ANC attempt to now take money out of ourpockets to fund their “giving” they are discovering this.
We aren’t willing to any longer just give, we now want tosee results first and they can’t produce any results - only more talk, and moreempty promises.
They cannot create an environment for employment, theycannot eradicate poverty, they cannot even speak the truth anymore or admitthat they have failed. Now they have resorted once more to blaming others fortheir own failures. Their education system, their health system, theire-tolling system, their arms deal and their tenderpreneurship deals havecreated a many-mouthed monster which they can no longer appease.
The citizens of South Africa have wizened up to thebluster, the hypocrisy and the foul deeds of those inner few who have usedtheir supporters, and the country, to enrich themselves whilst pretending tocare.
They have used and abused us and their positions when allthat was asked was that they govern us all in the manner they had promised –fairly, equitable and without regard to our colour, creed or religion. Theyhave failed us all and it is time for them to go.
The younger generation will no longer follow blindlywhere rabble raisers and stirrers lead them for they have received education -albeit it a mediocre one - and they have access to the internet, and thus learning, that the ANC can neither give them nor deny them.
The ANC are thus losing their only real weapon, andsimultaneously their only real support – the youth who listened to theirpromises and now realise that it was all just talk.
The ANC came to power by threatening – in the words ofWinnie Mandela – to use their matches to make the country ungovernable becausethey couldn’t get education.
Guess what, the tide has turned and now that they haveeducation they no longer need the matches, or Winnie - or the ANC - for theyare truly free.
Bon voyage ANC, your time is gone and may youtake your corruption, your greed, your bling and your nepotistic ways with you.The people have spoken and will continue to speak.
