A Survivors Guide :
Sufferers of Atheist Personality Disorder, hereafter referred to as APD, have delusions of grandeur, basically defined by the fixed, false belief that they possess superior qualities such as genius, extra evolutionary knowledge, perfection of thought, and hold the Truth. There is a desire to educate the lesser beings they encounter, and do not suffer fools gladly. All beings who do not agree with them or who have spiritual experiences, are considered delusional, and all their experiences are rubbished . Sufferers of APD and delusions of grandeur, often have the conviction of having some great but yet unrecognized talent or insight, and believe others around them have yet to appreciate and understand this talent.Another popular term for this disorder is "megalomania", but is more accurately referred to as ”narcissistic personality disorder" if it is a basic component of their everyday personality, comments and identity. Sufferers also display a greatly out-of-proportion sense of their worth and value in this world. Hence the need to constantly write articles on social network sites, especially articles on Religion, which they don't believe exists anyway. Afflicted people often have a taste for the finer things in life, and may use drugs recreationally. Sadly this disorder may be linked to schizophrenia, and often to psychotic bipolar disorders, which may be an early indicator of dementia. This is borne out by the fact that most who disagree with APD sufferers' belief system, are often labeled as insane. (The first sign of madness is when one considers everyone else around them mad). Note: look for comments made by sufferers on social networks if in doubt.
Closely linked to APD, is Atheist Persecution Delusion: this is one of the most common types of delusions APD sufferers have, centering around their fixed, false belief that others, especially Christians, are out to obstruct, harm, or even kill them. With this comes obsession: the APD victim believes that Christians and Christianity , are a great threat to their lifestyles. The delusion that Christianity pervades, invades and influences every aspect of their lives, is very real and palpable to them. This obsession can even lead to displays of intense hatred by APD sufferers. Other faiths and religions don't seem to bother them too much. Items in the home such as Radios, TV's and Computers also take on delusional qualities, whereby sufferers believe them to blast forth Christian doctrine daily. We stress that only APD sufferers experience this phenomenon, and are so paralyzed that simple tasks like trying to change channels, logging out, or turning a dial become virtually impossible. Other triggers are billboards, which ADP sufferers believe are there to promote Christian indoctrination: non sufferers see KFC or Sexpo advertising, while delusions stalk sufferers. A morning prayer at school assembly is seen as the most serious form of indoctrination of ADP sufferers' offspring by their persecutors, while Cartoon Network seemingly poses no threat to the indoctrination notion. An aside: Homer Simpson is probably one of the most quoted fiction cartoon characters that atheists quote.
Additional Info reAPD sufferers:~They insist that Atheism is not a religion, yet will compare their swelling numbers against those of Islam and Christianity.~Avatars are often scary and nom de plumes hide their real identities.~any answer given to them will be the wrong one
Interesting text selections to support diagnosis:• FYI, "no religion" is the third largest block (sic) in the world now, only christianity and islam is bigger. So it is not just "a few vocal non-believers"! • Atheism is an intelligence test which you may be able to do eventually.•The world certainly teems with unthinking and stupid people.•sorry your argument is someone who does not understand science or reality at all or how the world works•...But the real truth is that Christianity breeds immorality.•That certainly is not "most in numbers". Other religions make up "most in numbers". Non-Christian religious people make up more than 50% of the world population. 3.6 billion(Note the scientific statistical confusion)•"Haters of god"? How can I hate a god that doesn't exist.(This is quite interesting, as it belies their continued quest for proving God's existence)•**God is Spirit and when one becomes a true Spirit filled, born again Christian,** What is spirit? something you thought up in your deluded little faithfilled god-mindvirus head.•The only truth concerning this article is that it is truly an awful attempt to justify religion. None of the reasonable questions posed to theists are answered •The reason that atheists attack your faith is because you try to shove it down our throats at every turn• Your signs are everywhere. Religious programs and channels are all over television. Bumper stickers try to tell me daily that Dog is my savior and that Jesus is the light. Some people are rude enough to condemn others to hell as if they have the final say. Religious groups try to influence the laws that the rest of us have to live by as if somehow we all agree that that is how it should be. They try to influence what gets taught at schools. They try to dictate what should be allowed and what should be banned.•When will Christians realise that when they try to disprove a well accepted scientific theory just because it doesnt agree with the genesis myth..they end up showing that they are bigoted ignorant and totally irrelevant fundamentalists
