I'm not sure at the moment whether I should be laughing or crying every time I see a "new" topic emerge from the ANC's discussion document.
They're questioning the viability of 9 provinces, they're wondering about a national police commissioner, they're talking of giving access to farm land to the poor.
Has anybody else noticed that more and more of their "discussions" seem to be of a recurring theme - that they are having to resort to tried & tested methods, used by the hated previous "regime"?
What are they up to? Have they truly run out of ideas? Have they lost the plot?
The old SA that the ANC hate so much was a place where everything worked, where everybody worked and where we had standards, law and order, justice, healthcare, education, transport and infrastructure.
Now, after 20 years of dithering around trying to change everything to suit themselves - the elite few that is - they've discovered that they have no new ideas, that they can't break everything down and rebuild it. They can't afford it, they are running scared and they've lost their will.
If the ANC had any guts at all they would be honest to the citizens of SA, admit that they've lost the plot, don't have a way forward for themselves, or the country, and fire Zuma. Then perhaps, with a competent person in charge, we can actually get going again.
The ANC have competent people, now is the time for them to step up to the plate and get us out of this mess.
We are in dire straits, maybe some of them have noticed, so show some guts people and do the right thing before your own people tear your house down around you.
Leave it that long and you'll get no sympathy, no pity and no justice - all you'll have is chaos, rage and destruction and all will suffer.
Is that the legacy you want to leave, after just 20 years in power?
