AUP calls for NEW DEAL with the people!

05 April 2014, 13:06

Africa Unite Party Calls for a New Contract with the People!

The AUP have been in discussions with various smaller parties in opposition to the ANC majority party to pledge a NEW CONTRACT with the people.

Mr. Denton said yesterday in a statement:” The ANC has been in power for 20 years and they have let the people down. Their job as a liberation movement is at an end and they have discredited themselves like the National Party did by losing the trust of the people. I along with the EFF and the DA have signed off a united docket with the National Investigation Unit today to ensure President Zuma is held accountable for his actions in Nkandla. He has embarrassed our nation and we have become a laughing stock in the eyes of the world. It’s time for him to step down before he brings down not only the ANC ; but this nation!- He has abused his position of trust.”

The AUP calls on all parties to create an EMPOWERMENT CHARTER – a NEW contract with the people to re establish the trust of the people. The charter is not there to supplant the Freedom Charter; but to update it. The ANC has in the 20 years of power not implemented the charter and has instead created another system of apartheid that favors the elite and the connected.

The AUP invites other parties contesting in these elections to support this new contract with the people as the ANC has not done so. It has failed the people and those who were sacrificed during the apartheid struggle.
