My mom was very young when I was born, 16 years old.
I don't think abortion was a mainstream option back then but I shudder to think that, according to Pro Choicers, I do not have a right to life.
If my mom had been a teen today, I would have a very small chance of having a shot at life.
I think humanity has become selfish and evil. How the hell has it become ok to kill between 30 and 50 million babies each year?
It's nothing short of barbaric genocide and it makes me sick to my stomach!
Pro choice? What about the babies choice?
We cant control or discipline ourselves sexually so we decide that it's acceptable to toss our responsibility to the wind in the name of convenience?
I understand termination in severe mediacal cases where there is no win win situation but heck man, abortion is nothing short of murder.
"No" you say. "In the womb we are just a mass of cells:.I paste below an argument against the "mass of cells" theory.
1. That "mass of cells" is a unique human individual, the like of which has never been seen before, nor will ever be seen again.
2. That "mass of cells" has a heartbeat at 21 days post conception, and detectable brain waves at 40 days post conception. By 56 days post conception, 90% of the structures the organism will have as an adult are already present. Calling the unborn a "mass of cells" is grossly misleading at best. At worst, it is downright diabolical.
3. It doesn't have the potential to be a child, it IS a child at an extremely early age of development.
4. Unlike semen, that "mass of cells" is a distinct organism directing its own course of development. Oocytes and spermatoza are mere parts of organisms, albeit parts dedicated to the production of new organisms.
I really don't get how abortion has become a norm. And this is not about religion or tradition, this is about our base human morality.
Did you know that some countries are pushing for the next level of abortion which allows termination up to the age of 12? Currently post natal abortion is picking up a lot of support in Europe and you will be able to abort a child if it has disabilities etc AFTER IT HAS BEEN BORN.
We keep moving the line, further and further away from 'right' and 'responsible' to 'convenient' and 'necessary'.
I just don't get it.
