Adressing the atheists (and christians)

16 July 2014, 10:39
I'm sorry to spoil the fun here people but quite honestly I'm getting sick of the whole atheists versus Christian debate here. Don't get me wrong I like hearing the opinions of why people believe what they do.

However to the atheists (being one myself) I just want to point out that what you guys do a lot is try to convince Christians they are wrong. I hate to break it to you but that just comes across as if you're not quite sure you are right so you try to convince as many as you keen so feel better about your choice. Being a atheist myself I don't see the need to convince anybody that I'm right and they are wrong. All these statements like "Christians are idiots" etc. just makes people doubt even more that we as atheists have good morals because it highlights the fact that with a attitude like that you have no respect for other peoples belief systems.

Now to the Christians, guys i like hearing your opinions to but when you get down and dirty and tell us exactly why we are the scum of the earth then you're just shooting yourself in the foot after it is written " Thou shall not judge".  So that's against everything you're religion stands for isn't it?

So i guess what I'm saying is there nothing wrong with a good debate, but judging somebody else is not up to you or me.And if you feel you need to get everybody to believe the same thing you do to make yourself feel better then i suggest you go think about your beliefs a while and while you're at it get some self esteem.
