As identified by some scholars on a debate on The Economist.com website Africa is on the rise. Its economic development is better growing than when compared with other continents. For this to continue or keep improving joint effort with the Diaspora would go a long way.
One thing I like about Oprah Winfrey is that she understands that being poor and illiterate with all the poverty it brings is no fancy or fun. Education deals with all of that. It is true that "when you educate women you educate the nation," ask her.
The work she is doing in our young democratic nation, in South Africa, is very relevant for our development and support. I so wish more individuals especially from rich countries can search deep and know from what they can do and how to channel it the right way to make Africa a better place. The likes of Madonna, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, etc are appreciated. From being connected on social networks with people in the Diaspora, and reading their literature, I realized that black people there are facing challenges too. Most of their challenges are systematically similar with us here in the mother land. If there wasn't complication they would feel in great harmony waking with the African sun. Others are lucky with the better life they living. With so much development opportunities surrounding them a simple thought of help about Africa situation, trying to solve what we faced with as people goes a long
For an example Marcus Garvey, OAU, etc all giving the Diaspora an understanding of how they should hold themselves towards Africa, with the history of slavery the Diaspora and the oppression in Africa not to see less of how far we managed to come or to be. It is for us to make our children to feel good and know we doing something for them, that they would find as strength, and have positive confidence about being African and what he or she wants to be in life.
The world needs us let us be part of it. Look at individuals like Thabo Mbeki, Kofi Annan, and Barrack Obama, Nelson Mandela, Desmond Tutu, Graca Machel, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala as global leaders how they
have claimed the share for Africa. With them our continent has improved for the better.
For us to ensure that more of our people identifies with and find it acceptable, to reach the hearts of more people we need women involved. In our quest for Africa to economically expand, for us to venture into global open and free markets such as in the America, Europe, Asia, etc
it is for us to help each other to identify the favourable opportunities.
There is great opportunity for better life in Africa if we all positively look forward in its rise. More than ever what we have so far is what can help us. Step by step African is to stand with the world.
