Alliance being Robin Hood …….

25 June 2014, 09:03

It has become common and public knowledge that the tripartite alliance partners, COSATU, the ANC and the SACP recently received R 62 million from the Metalworkers Union (NUMSA) which monies was generated from membership fees.

Problem is that Robin Hood robbed the rich to give to the poor and in this instance the poor are being robbed from their monthly contribution and it being conveniently given to individuals and or political organizations that are far from poor.

In the most recent handout, COSATU received R 54 million from NUMSA, the ANC conveniently received R 4, 0 million and the SACP R 1, 8 million.

A further R 1, 7 million was given to COSATU’s political fund.

And all of these ‘kind’ donations being as a consequence of the members of NUMSA diligently contributing in monthly membership fees, only to enhance the political coffers or organizations and bodies that are not lacking in their financial position instead of being applied for their betterment.

Members are being exploited and think that the unions are acting in good faith, but then facts like this surfaces and the money is being distributed which I am more than sure the members to the union do not even know about.

Unions becoming ‘milking cows’ to support organizations that should be self sufficient and not dependant on ‘gratuities’.

This is raping your own conscience, and not acting in good faith for the betterment of your members, in applying membership fees appropriately, effective and most of all efficiently.

I support this motion of healing wounds, not because it is done by Afrikaaners who are all accused of be racist and all that but simply because we need to now unite as South Africans and start healing wounds of those who fought for freedom regardless of their race. Read more...
