Billions of people get pumped into this world. Present, past and future. Without their consent. Into the most horrible circumstances. They did not ask to be here. They did not ask to be afflicted with painful physical conditions.
Leave them alone to live and enjoy what nature offers them. If dagga, why not? Who gives anybody else the right to determine the life and habits to others?
Now, let's take it a little further. Those who claim a special god based on source material (that is in any event demonstrably false/unreliable) are actually, based on what they imagine the said false source material prescribes, managing or attempting to manage the painful and hopeless situation of the many BILLIONS less fortunates. The addictives to the unreliable source material try to prescribe to others and influence policy/law makers. They will preach to the billions of unfortunates but they will not alleviate the suffering. They will not, and never will be able, to create jobs or a steady supply of nutritious food for the many deprived BILLIONS. But they will be hypocritically prescriptive, safe in their lucky little surroundings that are so much more comfortable than those the many unlucky find themselves in. The latter of course with no choice whatsoever.
But the anti-dagga brigade - the majority of them - will without a second thought make offerings to the material wellbeing of their preachers. (No mention right now of some of the lucky preachers.) Who cares about the many other BILLIONS? As long as we are happy in our little world of deciding for others and making laws for and, quite frankly, AGAINST the many others. Oh yes, please don’t misread this comment as implying that BILLIONS will resort to dagga use if allowed to. But among those many there will be MANY who either uses it already or would love to do so.
I will submit this comment as part of the wish that people be left alone to smoke and drink (ingest) what makes their lives more tolerable/pleasurable.
If you are allowed to ingrain your psyche with brainwashing religious practices like repetitive prayers, self-affirming belief statements, song, hand-clapping and sermons, you are welcome to it. But don't take your imaginings out on others. Let the others live their lives as they like.
You have your religion to get high on. Others have their herbs and liquor at their disposal. And don't pretend that your religion is harmless, or so-called pure. It is NOT.
