Are Twerkers prostitutes?

16 May 2014, 11:01

Let us begin by defining prostitution;

noun: prostitution

  1. the practice or occupation of engaging in sexual activity with someone for payment.

2.              2. the unworthy or corrupt use of one's talents for personal or financial gain.

Although twerking is not all about physical sex, but we all agree that it is about lust and therefore falling under the sexual bracket. The second definition fully illustrates more on what I want to address.

Twerking can be regarded as TALENT and it is CORRUPT and UNWORTHY in a sense that it’s all about lust and using one’s specific parts of the body that are wildly associated with sexual advances.

Now to continue I will define Twerking;

Twerking (/'tw?rk??/) is a type of dancing in which an individual, usually a female,[1] dances to popular music in a sexually provocative manner involving thrusting hip movements and a low squatting stance.

I think by now we all agree that it is truly prostitution in its own right, and a sexual act.

What is it about twerkers that allows our community to freely accept them and yet not the so called street prostitutes?  Are we living in a hypocritical society? Who when it benefits them they will adhere to prostitution. I don’t think any man in his right mind would introduce neither a twerker nor a prostitute to his family and proudly tell them about their profession, if you can even call it “a profession”.

Wearing a miniskirt and parading your asserts for sex money, and wearing leggings and making thrusting hip movements, is to me PROSTITUTION. The world has evolved indeed.
