Atheism and religious beliefs

17 January 2014, 09:38

(Please note that this article is not meant to spur conflict and religious battles. Everybody has an opinion, so I’m just sharing mine)

There are various “facts” in the Bible which cannot be explained and presented with hard-proof. But then again, it says that we won’t understand everything. So I’m going to ask a few questions which might make you think:

1.)    Where did time begin? To rephrase: where did the “ingredients” for the big bang come from?

2.)    Does it seem logical that our whole existence came from chance? The intricate and delicate human body couldn’t have just been created (or evolved) by random chance. Think about nature and how she functions on her own…

3.)    How did the universe become so old? I don’t care how old the universe is. Some people say it’s a few billion years, while others plainly say it’s only a couple thousand. For something that was created by chance (and a huge explosion) to survive for this long, would be close to unbelievable.

Three questions, which I didn't give any answers to. I don’t intend to say “hah, atheists are stupid”, because I respect everyone’s beliefs and differences. But let’s put arch rivalry aside and try to find the truth.
