Evolution does not disprove God. This is not a silver bullet against the existence of a Creator.
You limit yourselves in your thinking, when you limit yourselves to simple constructs as evolution and the big bang to explain our existence.
Stephen Hawking suggests a univesal creator never need have existed. And that our universe could have been created spontaneously out of nothing.
But what was before the nothingness? If I have no money, it doesnt mean that my wallet doesnt exist. And what about the entity holding the wallet? Who made him?!
Another theory is the Multiverse theory. Theres an infinite amount of universes, each slightly different from the next universe. And that by the laws of stastistics, we are the winners of the cosmic lotto.
But who or what made the multiverse? Surely God wouldnt exist 'inside' our universe, but 'outside' of it.
Instead of shooting down religion, perhaps we should consider from a different perspective. Religion is our innate craving for knowing. God told Eve not to bite the apple, but our natural curiousity made us take that bite.
God is the unknown variable in our equation to try and solve the answers to everything. And who says that the unknown variable doesnt end up being a Creator?
If another persons beliefs doesnt infringe on your rights, then you have to respect the other persons beliefs.
Even if it means random strangers want to stop you, to tell you what they believe in :P
