Beware of political defectors

20 March 2014, 19:00
With the up coming election we are seeing a lot of people in "leadership" moving to other politcal parties. Some move from AN C to DA, some from DA to ANC, and just recently I came across an email saying some fighters who held leadership positions in the young baby EFF have crawled back to the ANC.

I am not really worried about their backstabbing or political will as clever ones would call it. I am more worried about the kind of people we elect to lead our political parties who then move on to government. These people join a political party not for its policies, not for its history, not for its potential and not for its radical approach.

They join political parties to benefit themselves and when things start to get bad for the party or their positions in that party they move on to another party. They stay in that party for as long as it serves them and not the other way around.

These people have no backbone, no political will, no vision for the country. Greediness sums up their dreams for this country.

I urge comrades, democrats, citizens and fighters who still want to see this country being led by strong leadership to be very cautious of who you elect in those AGMs.Be very wary of opening up your leadership positions to the defectors as they can rob your organisations of its core values.
