Beyond redemption

07 November 2012, 15:10

BEYOND  REDEMPTION

South Africa, our country, has slipped over the edges of morality and to the extent that the country is beyond morality and reasonable hope. Religion, governmental interference and other aspects can and will never get us back over the edges of insanity. Our options are also approaching zero.

Yesterday I heard a young child screaming in a heart rending pitch of fear and pain outside my gate. On investigation It was discovered that 3 older boys, about 11 years old, were stoning a smaller boy with a vigour that makes the mind boggle. Savagely like a rabid dog. The expressions on their young faces reminded one of an animal tearing a morsel of food apart.    I and my fiancée approached the scene and the 3 ran away while the youngster limped to keep up with them. His arm seemed badly bruised.

My first thought was: Their parents have probably done the same when using violence to get their way in labour disputes and mining salary increases. Violence has become an accepted past time for adults: Now it is the turn of the children. Will violence ever die as does many of its victims?

This morning I read an article on NEWS24 about a security guard who was murdered with a panga and his tongue cut out.

This morning I read of a principal arrested for raping 11 girls.

This morning I read about a women who was murdered and her car stripped for spares that same day. I read of the man held for raping his step-daughter 12yrs old.

In this failed society of ours it is accepted that 2 + family members to be raped.  Son was raped, allegedly by his soccer coach. Police statistics showed that 64 514 sexual offences were reported from last April to May this year. What are the statistics for non-sexual crimes?

Violence has spread to all spheres of life: From the home to the rugby field, sucking in even the supporters.

An element that boosts the crime rate are those who are paid to deal with crime yet become part of the crime scene.:  the police force. Another element that boosts the crime rate are those that are paid to be an example to the rest of the country but are the richest, That emanating from the booty gotten from crime:  the politicians: their motto hollered out to the world is crime is ok just never get caught. Most get caught and the catcher is just as rotten to the core. Caught because they are too bloody stupid to do it properly instead of the rank and title doing it for them. A world of fools. Blatant fools that lack intelligence and reason to assume they are the top dog in society, yes maybe top but remain a dog.

I had no intention of writing any article;  when you lay in bed at night and hear an eight year old child screaming in abject pain then you realise that something must be done yet what I can do is just too little but just, probably, maybe it may make a tiny difference
