Even in my wildest dreams I never expected the kind of reaction I got on my first 2 articles. I expected maybe 100 or 200 article views and a few comments from detractors. Never did I expect more than 16,000 views and 1,315 comments (of which 240 my replies) over a period of 8 days! I guess it is a case of "If at first you do succeed, try your best not to look surprised".
Well, surprised is not the word I would use. Humbled, overwhelmed, bewildered.
I know Christians not be a bunch of tolerant, loving and forgiving kind of folk towards heathens. Yet, even I was surprised at the torrent of abuse and raw hatred pouring out from some Christians in the comments section, with a lot of cursing, insulting, swearing and hating going on. Obviously there were contributions from Christians who approached the articles with an open mind, and I really appreciate and respect that.
The other thing that I noticed is that people can't really read or understand what they read. I offered reading and comprehension lessons, but got no takers.
So, based on some Christian comments, it would appear that not only am I possessed by at least 49 demons, but there is a whole host of "familiar spirits" that also inhabit my body. No wonder I can't lose weight! I have at least 4 rugby teams inside me!
To my own knowledge, I am aware of at least 5 big "demons" that possess me. They are:
Intelligence - The biggest, and he seems to have a lot of influence over the other "demons" in me.
Logic and Reason - "The Twins". Where you find the one, the other is not far behind.
Common sense - Best friend of "The Twins".
Objectivity - This "demon" gives me the ability to see all 3 sides of a coin at the same time.
Then, there are some other "demons" that seem to come and go. They are Respect, Humility, Patience, Tolerance, Self Control and a Non-judgemental Attitude. I am also aware of some common ones I think most people have problems with from time to time. They call themselves Anger, Pride, Selfishness and Arrogance. For the most part I have these under control, but they are very volatile in nature.
The "demons" of Religion, Gullibility and Superstition have been exorcised from me completely. Yay!
I know some people were expecting Satan's demise this week. To be honest, I was so overwhelmed by the response to my first articles I went into hiding! As one could notice from the comments sections on the first two articles, I like to take an active part in the debate, and this takes a lot of my time and energy. Therefore I publish this "nothing" article...a mere time waster. I apologize for that. The next article is an intense one, and I need a chance to "recover" and gather all my "demons" together.
So, before I carry on, I need to put the record straight on a few things.
I personally do not regard black people as being inferior. I have many black friends, as well as friends from many diverse races. They are wonderful, intelligent and humble people, with a fantastic sense of humor. The truth is, I do not tolerate any arrogant, obnoxious people who regard themselves as better than others, or live their lives at the expense of other people...regardless their skin color.
I also do not regard homosexual people as deviants and freaks. I have gay friends. I also know gay people who are shunned by society and churches for their choice of lifestyle, and this really saddens me. Who they choose as a life partner does not change who they are, or diminish their value as a human being. Yet it would appear that religious people in particular have a huge problem with this.
And for those wondering: I am an atheist, not an agnostic. I have chosen which side of the fence I live on, and I am comfortable in my decision and my position. I do not have a problem with agnostics or the folks on the other side of the fence (theists). What I do have a problem with are the folks on the other side of the fence who are constantly knocking on my door telling me their side of the fence is better, and that they are better than me!
For the past few weeks I have been reading some articles and comments from theists and atheists on the MyNews24 forum. I noticed in particular the venomous arrogance of some Christians who claim that in the bible they have found the answers to everything in life: the origins of the universe and life itself, science, morality, peace, love, health, eternal life...everything. All the answers are in this one book. Nothing has been left out! And this gives them a feeling of superiority...a certain smugness they carry with them. They are confident that they have the ultimate answer to all life's questions and challenges, and the rest of "us" are on a one way train ride to an eternity of pain and suffering. Whilst they be sipping cool water in heaven, unbelievers like me will be burning in a hell of flames, my eyeballs melting only to grow back, my skin being burnt away only to regenerate; not a drop of water for my parched tongue anywhere to be found, and no hope of ever being saved. They wave this "book" in my face. "Repent or roast", they scream. They have this "great commission"...a direct instruction from the god of the bible. They have to tell the entire "unsaved" world that the god of the bible loves them for as long as they are alive. If they die, however, without choosing to follow him, he will throw them (lovingly) into a fiery hell. This god will be crying for them every day, but he is seemingly unable to rescue them.
I used to be a "Christian", but never really bought into the hysterics of it all. The "faith movement" with its "name it, claim it, frame it" approach...the whole self entitlement thing is a bit much. The "prosperity movement" is obviously a pyramid scheme with only the preacher, his wife and their brats benefiting financially from it, whilst the congregation will give the last money from their wallets in the hope of winning the "Jesus Jackpot". The "healing movement" is really just nonsense, with Christians always having many excuses for their failure to produce genuine verifiable evidence for these "miracle healings". And who remembers the whole "laughing in the spirit", debacle, with people barking like dogs and chuckling and howling like hyenas? What an embarrassment! Add to this the whole "supernatural manifestation" of gold and feathers, and you're well on your way to having a traveling freak show! Then, of course, there is the "prophesying" in unintelligible languages with a nifty "translator" standing by...and it is ALWAYS the same drivel "If you return to Me, says the Lord" or "Now is the time for revival" or "My spirit is moving", and my personal favorite "There is a person here in the audience tonight who is suffering from <whatever>" and 20 people run to the front, convinced they are "that person"! Surely God should know the name of the person, and would be able to identify him/her?
For years I stood on the sideline and observed this mind control and mass hysteria at work, enforced by all sorts of theatrics, thundering music and pulsing lights. People singing in gibberish language, repeating the same phrases over and over again like mantras, whipping themselves into a frenzy, shaking, trembling, crying and falling down, "touched by the Holy Spirit" and crawling away "refreshed". Only to come back next week and do it all over again.
Then I met a man a few years ago who pointed me to the "Holy Spirit" hoax. I initially rejected this whole "blasphemous lie", as I was brainwashed from childhood to believe this whole "Trinity God" thing. A few years later I discovered some of the notes I got from him, and my curiosity was piqued. I started doing some studying on my own, and realized he was right! The entire Christian church was (and is) wrong about this! So, I thought...if "we" as Christians are wrong about the CORE of our religion, what else are "we" wrong about? So, more studying was on the cards for me. Next "hell" went up in flames, followed by the devil. After that it was sort of a mishmash of "events", and in my mind everything sort of crumbled at the same time...the whole "fall of man and original sin" nonsense, "free will", the "Jesus is the Messiah" hoax, the "rapture" and of course the god delusion (no, I have never read the book by Richard Dawkins, and he is not my "guru").
I undertook a long time ago to do something that will show people that this bible they use like a weapon to discriminate and to curse is merely a convoluted fairy tale, written to enslave, oppress and exploit good people for the sake of money.
It would appear as though that time is now. I do realize that I might fail miserably, and be humiliated and mocked. The thing is, in the process I might just succeed in planting a seed of doubt into a few minds...just enough doubt to start exploring on their own. Hopefully this will lead a few people to come to their own conclusions, instead of merely lapping up the poisonous drivel being spewed from the pulpits on Sundays.
In Part 1 I have shown that the Christian God (The Trinity) does not exist and Christians are in fact worshiping a false god. This god was created by mistranslating a few words and tampering with verses and phrases in the bible; or as one Christian explained it: "words were added to clarify the context...not tampered with". Uhm...adding is tampering.
In Part 2 I have shown that a "hell" was created in order to scare the "hell" INTO people so they would give their money to the church. This was achieved by once again mistranslating words, and misinterpreting certain parables in the bible as literal stories. There is no "Lake Of Fire" where poor innocent unbelievers will be tortured in forever...and ever.
In Part 3 I will get rid of the devil that was created to frighten good people into obedience to the bible.
So, as mentioned, Satan was supposed to be on the spit this week. Thankfully, when I called him up (speed dial...remember), he told me he couldn't make it. To my shock and horror, he said he was busy killing off some people in Syria. I asked him if he got any opposition from God. He just laughed and screamed "They are Muslim, you fool! They don't believe in Jesus! There is no hope for them! Ha ha ha ha ha!" and slammed down the phone.
Wow, what a douche! And this Satan is also a nasty piece of work!
