On May 20, 1983 Pretoria reeked with the stench of death when a car bomb exploded in Church Street. This explosion killed 19 and wounded 217 and was one of the largest assaults engaged in by the ANC during its struggle against apartheid. Yet today, 31 years later, these same militants have the audacity to condemn as barbaric the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
In her arrogance while addressing the Israeli attacks, Jesse Duarte refers to the deaths of the three Israeli teenagers merely as senseless as any other death, yet conveniently ignores the fact that each of them were shot 10 times with silenced guns – conveniently also overlooking the fact that the shooting of rockets from Gaza into Israeli territory and urban areas is just as barbaric as was the events of May 20, 1983.
I dare say that this supercilious South African political party of majority vote is to clean upon their own domain first before criticising a people in a bid to protect their own. From the minds of a people, brainwashed into throwing live sheep into open fires in order to make themselves invisible, comes a condemnation against Israel, yet their own deeds borders on barbarism. Not feeding your pigs and leaving them to cannibalise each other is barbaric. Stabbing a three year old child 99 times is barbaric Jessie Duarte.
Yes, both Israel and Hamas are wrong in what they’re doing as more innocent life’s are being lost the longer these offensives continues, but please don’t confuse self-defence and aggression with each other. Rather keep your communist nose out of other people’s affairs and focus on the mess you and your party are contributing to in South Africa.
In a war there are no victors – only losers – yes, usually women and children die in great numbers. Democratic nations however have a right to defend themselves and are in no need of being dictated to or being condemned by a government that colludes with a Chinese Republic and with a red army attempting to invade a Ukrainian sovereignty.
