I have spent the better part of my morning trying to spread the word on the Black Friday Campaign for Rape Awareness in South Africa as this issue is obviously at crisis point and has been for sometime.
However now that I stop and breath, to what end is this campaign? Once awareness is created, then what? What are we asking Government to do?
In the workplace one is advised not to voice the problem unless you have the solution.
Very often the answers to problems seem simple but unfortunately people are not. My suggestion to government would be to start limiting the number of illegal immigrants that are allowed to settle here until the problem of unemployment for SOUTH AFRICANS is addressed.
What does this have to do with Rape - well a man that is unemployed and without purpose becomes angry, resentful and may resort to crime and acts of violence. Give the men of our country purpose, empower them to be gentle, kind, loving and hardworking. Give men back their dignity so that Men will give back respect to the Women and Children they are abusing.
