Blacks are not the enemy.

20 January 2014, 17:34

There seems to be a cabal of whites on this forum who believe blacks are evil. Reading between the lines they seem desperate to shake of the label of apartheid-goon’s, and the best way for them to do that is to have South Africa turn into a failed state.

Then they can turn around and say “You see, under apartheid they had it better! At least under apartheid everything worked. I told you so.”

These harbingers of doom are not unlike the right-wing Christians who desperately dream of an ‘End Time’ to ‘prove’ their failed religion valid.

Of course they are cutting off their noses to spite their ugly faces, and the funny thing is they still hang around their braai talking kuk and enjoying rugby (the irony of TWO post-apartheid world cups is lost on them). Yes, life is good.

So do I support Zuma? Never.

Will I vote for the ANC? No – I will vote DA.

And I get the feeling from some of the black people who comment here that many, many darkies are also fed up with Zuma.

But . . . if I was a black man disillusioned by the ANC, who would I vote for?

The DA is tempting . . . but so is the EFF.

Mmm . . . now which party should I choose?

Well, the DA sounds like a logical choice and has a track record of good governance in the Cape.

But wait, some whitey on N24 has just said the following: “What has Africa done to make the world a better place. NULL”

Thanks whitey, you helped me make up my mind. Julius has my vote!

Point being that right now is a pretty good time to be BUILDING bridges, not ruining them.

With a loser like Zuma in power, and a potentially bigger despot like Julius waiting in the wings, doesn’t it make sense to promote goodwill amongst the ONLY group of people capable of voting both of them out?

Just saying.
