Cape Town gets its own Marikana! Well, almost...

05 June 2014, 13:46
Yes, almost - but the principle remains the same. Do what you like, except do not place yourself between the ANC and the ANC's money. The tragedies and human rights desecrations of Nomzama and Marikana both bear witness to this. In one instance a strike prevents the BBBEE beneficiary from being able to continue his 'thank you' gratuities to the ruling party elite who graciously provided the taxpayer money for him to buy a mine and become ludicrously wealthy, and in the other, the desperation to establish another state mint-print E-toll (well, that's the idea, anyway), overrides everything that is good in humankind, as the dark underbelly of the ANC is exposed.
"It's perfectly legal! We have a court order!", screams Sanral. Apartheid was perfectly legal, but it was wrong, sonny. "It was the DA's fault!", says Zizi (JackDanielson offspring) Wodka, "they failed to provide alternate housing!". So you see, young woman who returned from school, heartbroken to see her bed, school attire and other artifacts lying in the mud, crushed by an apartheid-style bulldozer, and her mother dragged half naked through the cordon of Marikana-wire, it wasn't us - it;s not our fault. It's all because of someone else. Always. After all, don't you know the ANC is on your side, fighting the battle against people who want to abuse and oppress you? Please remember this, when you freeze to death alongside your baby brother tonight. "It is the DA that is punishing you for not voting for them..." Right, Zizi-bons - you wouldn't have it the other way round now, would you? When I last checked, the DA actually won the Western Cape? No?
However, slip right out of that 'righteous coat', DA. Since when do you 'distance yourself' from gross injustice meted out to your electorate by alien infiltrators? Why did you not warn the public well in advance of this ANC inspired evil? Do you not think that others might have been sufficiently moved to obtain a court interdict against it? History is selfish, and presents on rare occasion only the opportunity to write it. Here she held out such a golden opportunity to you to prove that what you say is backed up by action, and you failed to grasp it. Miserably. You were content to sit back and watch the ANC jackboot all over your electorate, for a measly few political crumbs, which, as it turns out, will not be forthcoming, after all. Community halls? Too little, too late, I'm afraid. The horse has bolted, and you have been found wanting.
Where are you, Tony Ehrenreich? Where is your voice? Or can you only say 'DA cycle lanes for the rich in Parklands?" Are you holidaying on Mars, perhaps? Or do you exercise great discretion, in the understanding that you don't mess with ANC money? No more, shall we hear your voice. Amandla.
Have mercy on us, LORD, for we know not what we do...
