The most beautiful thing ever created on planet earth was the grapevine.
The taste is inexplicably fabulous to the discerning wine connoisseur, it is the reason that Jesus on the “wedding feast” had to perform a miracle and change water into wine and everybody was astonished to savour the best wine at the last hour.
The celebration was intent to bestow on all “man” the sense of unity and harmony that exist when we are united and share the same fruits the Almighty Creator has Willfully given us upon residing on planet earth irrespective of colour; race; creed; and/ or religion.
Whether you believe in Christianity or belong to any other religious sector is irrelevant, Jesus was endorsing the concept of “Unity” that all Man should have the privilege of a better life and equal opportunities, working together and be adamant on efforts that are targeted at the Upliftment and Betterment of all citizens in this country.
June 16, is the Youth Day and should be celebrated accordingly as we are all South Africans, rejoicing in unison that we have finally conquered the scourges of poverty; illiteracy and unemployment which are the fundamental factors affecting the Youth in our communities.
Now that the government has actually put money where its mouth is, for the Youth of this country to curb the high rate of Unemployment, especially in the Eastern Cape should be commended.
The projected plan by The Strategic Integrated Plan (Sips) to create over 5 million jobs nationally, that will concentrate on Infrastructure and Skills Development; and by the office of the Premier Noxolo Kiviet to create 500 000 jobs is such a brilliant idea and needs to be supported by everyone concerned by the plight of our Youth.
Therefore let’s join hands this June 16, not in mourning but in celebration of “True Freedom” as constituted in our South African Constitution, Liberty and Rights to a descent living conditions.
