I noticed over the past two decades or so there has been a lot of Names changes to towns, streets and so on yet other areas have been left with their names in intact.
Why our local governments are spending millions on changing streets and town names e.g. Krugersdorp now Mogale city, Pretoria now City of Tshwane, Pietersburg now polokwane….
The list is endless. The reason for this is that these towns and areas where named during apartheid times… that beg the question some townships were formed in apartheid times too can those names be changed as well i.e. Soweto, Soshanguve??? Just asking.
Im not going to even start with the streets especially in Pretoria… I know someone will comment and say ANC this and ANC blah blah blah... the point is I would like to see the Townships be suburbs they are supposed to be. Use the money to build and maintain sports facilities or something
