Charismatic God wants your money.
Archaeological excavations of Nazareth from the 1950’s show the village of Jesus' day were occupied by poor agricultural people. As Jesus grew up he worked in the trade of a carpenter, not a trade known for its wealth. The family of Jesus, the Son of God, was so poor that he was born in a stable closeted in a cave.
Mary and Joseph could only sacrifice turtle doves and pigeons to appease God. They could not afford goats or bulls for sacrifice. Jesus did not own fixed property or have any moveable possessions. He mentioned to his disciples that “foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head."
As Jesus grew up in poverty he was much more comfortable with the poor and wretched and he identified with their hatred (envy) of the rich. That is why he said that it would be more difficult for a rich man to enter heaven than for a camel to fit through the eye of a needle. He also said “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God”
Jesus sent his disciples on missions without any financial support, because he had none to give them; he had no money to pay taxes, no place of his own, had to borrow a donkey, died a pauper and was buried in someone else’s tomb. Peter when on a gospel mission says to a cripple "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you”.
Christianity was born in poverty and it has appealed to poverty stricken people ever since. Paul tells us in 1Cor: “to the present hour we both hunger and thirst and we are poorly clothed and homeless”
Some people join the ANC to become rich, others become wealthy by starting Christian charismatic ministries. They know God is poverty stricken so when they need money, you NEVER see them ask God or his Son for money.
They know that would be a futile exercise because God doesn’t have any money as we have seen from my short Bible study. It is much easier to shake down their gullible, naïve and foolish congregations who are too lazy to read the Bible and would rather rely on someone else’s interpretation.
So they fall for charlatan preachers who; as despicable swindlers and con artists operate a tax exempt Ponzi scheme from their pulpits, right under the nose of their innocent sheep and equally stupid tax collectors. (See list of swindler preachers below).
Some would say that the sheep have it coming for as the wise saying goes: “a fool and his money are easily parted”.
Surprisingly or not when you read the Bible you will discover why preachers always have a great big smile on their dials , similar to the one found on Zuma’s and his cronies. The Bible actually does back their constant and incessant begging for you to open your cheque book. (See list of begging verses below)
There are far more verses in the Bible about giving God your money than giving God your soul! That’s right. Which is another proof that the Bible is not divinely written because at the beginning of every mythology, every cult, every religion in history, is a con artist who figured out how to sell a racket so that he could get rich while doing "God's work”.
You see that's the problem with the “born of the spirit, relationship with Jesus, religious blind faith, charismatic Christianity”. It's indistinguishable from a con. That is not an accident!
If there really was a God of integrity who had your best financial, health and eternal interests in mind, he would provide better evidence for his existence and power than that dished up from mega Church pulpits across South Africa.
Where all you will find is that the ones prospering are the preachers themselves; for after a few years of fleecing their sheep, they are wealthier than when they started out as rookie Pastors.
The title Pastor is quite ironic; because Pastor means to care for the flock, but the flock are too doped to realise; that if your shepherd has more money than you do, he is NOT there to serve you but to screw you.
Certain dignitaries in the Catholic Church, centuries ago abused their authority by selling and granting indulgences for sins committed, whereby sinners could get a short cut to absolution with no penance involved. This despicable practise led to the protestant reformation.
Today it is the turn of Protestants to sell the “free” gospel of Jesus Christ whereby Gods mafia preachers fleece their gullible members and offer eternal life for a fee (indulgence) of ten per cent of your gross income (tithes) and much more in offerings.
Senior Pastors (most with pompous and bogus Dr Titles before their names) live in indulgent tax free luxury with mansions, own expensive cars and even private planes that would make the poor, humble carpenter’s son embarrassed to be associated with them.
They tell you, while applying brain-washing hypnotic techniques, (strong emotion, music, singing, fear, voice roll) that if you do not tithe you are robbing God and if you give to God he will give you a 1000% increase on your capital investment. (Eat your heart out Old Mutual and Sanlam, Gods investment scheme pays out much better).
Doting and dopamine doped Church members, while gently swaying; with their hands in the air, eyes misting up, enter into a trance-like state and during this time of great emotional excitement cheque books are flung open and VISA cards are flung around with joy and glee and people give expecting a bountiful harvest of a hundred fold return to fall from heaven into their laps.
You don’t believe me go and see for yourself, (See list below) the positive and energetic crowd hysteria is similar to that at a Blue Bulls rugby match when a grown man is haring down the side line to score a try and the crowd goes ballistic.
While our free media homes in on government corruption and right fully so why do they ignore the charismatic prosperity cults?
Did you think Christian salvation was free? No you have to pay ; for your resurrected body to enter through the pearly gates into the Eternal City of Jerusalem, where the streets are lined with gold, you can experience total dominion and authority in Christ whereby you can pick up dangerous snakes, drink poison, cast out demons, heal the sick, and raise the dead.
It is no surprise then that the gospel is amazing and wonderfully appealing - if it were true. If it sounds too good to be true as the saying goes, it usually is too good to be true. If only Jesus was the Son of God and he loved us like the Bible say he does:
But as any rational man will tell you, if there is no proof of an incredible claim it’s because it is a con.
